Spring 2026 Youth Intro to Filmmaking
Intro to Filmmaking is a fun-filled and educational program in which youth ages 11-18 learn the basics of narrative film production, including roles on set, workflow, and collaboration. Youth will work in groups to build collaboration and teamwork skills, while exploring their unique creative voice. Youth will create a final product based on a script written by a California middle schooler from the Latino Film Institute's Youth Cinema Project's screenwriting program to showcase at the end of the program. BAYCAT Intro students have worked with YCP scripts in Spring 2024 and 2025.
