Visitor Release

In consideration of myself and my children, or other minors for whom I am the legal guardian, being permitted to visit CAROLINA TIGER RESCUE (hereafter CTR), on behalf of myself, my spouse, children, legal representatives, heirs, distributees, guardians, agents, children for whom I am legal guardian, and assigns, I agree as follows:

Dangers and rules:
  1. I have been advised that the animals contained on the premises of CTR are wild and dangerous, and that I risk serious bodily injury or death if I come into contact with one of the animals. I have also been advised that the tour route is not paved and is rustic. Therefore, I will not touch, reach over, step over, or reach through any barricades, rope, wire, or fencing intended to provide a barrier from the animals, nor make any attempt to touch the cages or animals;
  2. I will stay with my tour group at all times unless escorted by a Carolina Tiger Rescue representative;
  3. I will obey all verbal instructions that may be given to me by CTR representatives;
  4. I will remain observant for and exercise caution around holes, trenches, building materials, fire ant hills, and other physical hazards during my tour;
  5. If minors are visiting with me, I will supervise them at all times and be fully responsible for their behavior and adherence to CTR rules and instructions;
  6. If for any reason I am asked to leave the property I will do so promptly without protest.

Liability release and hold harmless agreement:
  1. For myself and on behalf of my children and other minors for whom I am the legal guardian, I hereby release, waive, indemnify, and forever discharge CTR and all of its owners, officers, directors, members, employees, visitors, volunteers and sponsors and each of them and all of their heirs, assigns, officers, and employees, from all liability to me, my spouse, children, legal representatives, heirs, distributees, guardians, agents, and assigns of and from any and every claim, demand, action or right of action, of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, arising from or by reason of any and all bodily injury or personal injuries, known or unknown, death or property damage now or hereafter resulting from any event which may occur as a result of my presence on the grounds of CTR, or any activities in connection with my presence on the grounds of CTR, whether due to negligence or otherwise;
  2. I further release CTR and all of its officials and personnel from any claim whatsoever on account of any first aid treatment or service rendered to me during my activities as a visitor to the premises of CTR;
  3. As further consideration, I do hereby acknowledge, accept, and agree that this release and any action arising there from will be construed under the laws of the State of North Carolina. In the event any portion of this agreement is held invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the balance shall remain in full legal force and effect;
  4. I further agree that by signing this agreement I confirm that:
    1. I am of lawful age;
    2. I have carefully read the foregoing release, know the contents, and understand that this is a release of liability and a contract between myself and CTR;
    3. I have had ample opportunity to ask questions about the dangers of visiting this facility and about the meaning of this document;
    4. I understand that if I violate this contract, I am subject to penalties, including but not limited to, legal fees and other costs incurred by CTR and any of the other released parties; and
    5. I am signing this document of my own free will, under no disability or duress.

Photo releases:
  1. I understand that I may take photographs during my visit and may use these photographs freely without payment of additional compensation to CTR. I hereby grant to CTR, without payment of any compensation by CTR, the right to unlimited use of any photographs of the premises or resident animals for any purpose for an unlimited duration of time.
  2. I understand that photography and filming may be occurring while I am visiting CTR and I hereby consent to the unlimited use of my image by CTR without compensation.
