2022-23 Application

Introduction

The Superintendent's Student Advisory Board meets with the district's superintendent to provide student input into important issues in our school district. Student members, in good standing, retain their membership on the board until graduation from Utica Community Schools.


IMPORTANT

This application becomes valid only when you have submitted a complete application and your reference submits a timely letter of reference no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022


After completing the application you must review and CONFIRM your submission. After confirming your submission, you will receive an email confirming your application. Application Criteria and Requirements
1. Criteria for Membership
  • Scholastic achievement, effort and determination
  • Extra-curricular and/or community involvement, demonstrating leadership abilities
  • Critical thinking skills
  • 9th grade student enrolled in Utica Community Schools

2. The following application must be completed no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022.

3. A UCS teacher, counselor or school administrator must complete an electronic letter of reference. Instructions and a link to the form are provided in this application.

4. Fill out the application completely. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

5. In-person meetings will be held at the Administrative Service Center at 11303 Greendale, Sterling Heights MI 48312. Students must have transportation to and from the meetings. Students will be expected to attend all of the sessions.

Letter of Reference
Applicants are required to have a letter of reference from a UCS teacher, school counselor, or school administrator. The letter of reference will be submitted online.  

Please give the person completing the letter of reference enough notice to complete it and submit the information electronically prior to the application deadline of Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

It is the applicant's responsibility to share the online letter of reference link (see below) with the appraiser or otherwise notify the appraiser of the process and submission deadline.
