OSCR and SCVO have useful resources on good governance. Your local Third Sector Interface may also be able to provide some guidance around this.

This should include all dimensions of the Fair Work Framework (effective voice, opportunity, security, fulfilment and respect) and especially around effective employee voice.

Tell us briefly about the work your organisation does including a high-level summary of its aims and main activities. It would be great to hear about your track record and recent achievements, including the difference your work has made.

Section 2 - About your proposed work

Please include the aims, activity, outputs of the proposed work and outline the work you are applying for funding for.
It should be clear what the aims and objectives of the work are and what you intend to do, including the main activities and outputs.
You should be clear how the work can deliver impact. What is different about your approach?
How does it involve and engage the people you’re hoping to help and place experts by experience at the heart of the work?
Why do you think your approach will work?
Does your organisation have the skills, experience and capacity to undertake this work?
If this is a partnership application, outline who your partners are and what they will do.

What is the issue you are seeking to address through this proposed work?
Why is it important?
Why is there a need to address this now?
Who else is working on this issue and how are you working with them?

Include any plans for how you will share the learning from this work and how you will plan to influence the behaviour of other organisations and decision makers through the work.
Outline the difference you hope to make by which your work will be measured – please make sure these are outcomes you can realistically measure.
Outline the key audiences for the work.

Please use this section to outline your thinking on how the proposed work will aim to deliver big change that lasts in Scotland. Big change that lasts is sometimes described as systems change, strategic change, long-term change.

What we mean by big change that lasts is work that has a clear, thought-through and demonstrable potential to lead to significant impact on poverty and trauma at scale, either in general or for particular population groups or geographical areas at greater risk of poverty and trauma in Scotland.
Please see our guidance for more information.

Accounts

If your accounts are more than 12 months old, please also provide a copy of your recent management accounts in the section below. If you are a newly registered Charity and haven't yet produced Annual Accounts we can still consider your application and will ask you to provide details of an independent referee and a recent copy bank statement dated within 3 months. Please also send us a projection showing your organisation's expected income for its first year.

It is helpful for our assessment if you can tell us here about:                                                              -      any one-off or unusual items in the accounts provided which would not                    normally feature on a year-to-year basis;

-        any large surplus or deficit recorded during the financial year;

-        high levels of Net Current Assets – if these are close to, or in excess of, your annual expenditure, it would be helpful to know if this is linked to increased planned expenditure in the next financial year;

               -     any investments listed - it is useful for us to know whether these are                           property-based, or whether your organisation could access them                                 relatively quickly to meet expenditure needs.
If you are a UK wide Charity, please provide information on income and expenditure for your Scottish operations, if available.
