MUSICAL MENTORS ONLINE
MMO offers one-on-one music instruction and mentorship to at-risk youth grades 3-12 at no cost to the student. The program runs during the school year (September through May). We partner with CASA organizations, homeless shelters, Title 1 schools, and other youth-serving social service organizations to reach students most in need of mentorship. Students receive 18 private lessons, a free instrument should they need one, monthly workshops and studio classes, recital opportunities, and multiple community gatherings both in person and virtually.
MUSICAL MENTORS ACADEMY
MMA offers subsidized one-on-one music instruction for advanced students looking to be accepted into high-school or collegiate music programs or who have ambitions of becoming professional musicians. The program runs year round. Students take 25 lessons with their assigned teaching artist and are paired with one of MMC's Grandmentors. Students perform in studio classes and public performances, participate in monthly workshops and masterclasses with Grandmentors, and receive scholarship opportunities for additional enrichment learning such as summer festivals and preparatory programs.
SUMMER SOUNDS
Summer Sounds is a free, six-week online summer program intended on closing education gaps that often occur over the summer. Students take weekly private lessons and participate in masterclasses with creative professionals, community gatherings, and an end-of-summer recital.
