The student requesting a recommendation is a candidate for admission to the Steppingstone Scholars Program, an after-school and summer program for Boston students. Beginning in 4th or 5th grade, Steppingstone provides Scholars with the academic tools and social-emotional skills to be successful in middle school and high school, as well as the support to access, navigate, and graduate from college.
A strong candidate demonstrates readiness for an academic challenge and additional homework and contributes positively to their classroom community. In addition, Steppingstone seeks to work with families who actively support their student's education and demonstrate the need for a tuition-free, college-access program. The Teacher Recommendation is a critical component of our admission process, so we appreciate your candid and thoughtful responses.
This recommendation will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to the applicant, the applicant's family members, or any other person not affiliated with Steppingstone.
Please submit this recommendation along with the student's Term 1 Report Card, Spring 2022 MCAS scores, June 2022 MAP scores, and December 2022 MAP scores by January 4, 2023.
