Horns Up for Hunger Food Drive Volunteer Support

Soelberg's Market, Tooele, November 9th
Petersen's Fresh Market, Riverton, November 10th

Each event will run 6 AM - 6 PM

We're teaming up with 93.3 the Bull and Associated Food Stores to help combat military and Veteran food insecurity in our community! During this series of food collections the week of Veteran's Day we'll collect non-perishable food items to restock local military and Veteran Food Pantries and monetary donations to go towards Blue Star Families' and Operation Home Fronts' food insecurity efforts.

We need your help! We're seeking a team of volunteers to assist at each location to help collect goods, sort, and pack them for delivery. Other duties may include sharing the event information with incoming patrons, answering questions, and helping people who are trying to make monetary donations.

Please note that at this time, we are completely full for volunteers for our Kent's Event in Roy on Nov. 11th, which is why it is not listed here. If you are in the northern area by Hill AFB, please know that additional opportunities to support food insecurity efforts for Hill AFB and surrounding communities will be available later in the year in advance of the Christmas holiday. Please follow us on Facebook at @UTBSF as we post all our volunteer opportunities on our social media. Thank you.

Any amount of time that can be donated is appreciated. Select the day(s) that you are interested in volunteering within the registration form below. Emily will reach out with additional information, and you'll be able to choose blocks of time you are available to assist. If you are aged 13-18 and would like to join us, please have a parent or guardian complete this form and include your information in the "Minor Volunteers" section.

Please note that due to the nature of the event, the heavy equipment in use, and because we'll be in busy parking lots, we are unable to have children 10 and under participating as volunteers for this effort. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Volunteers may be asked to lift/move boxes or bags that may be heavy or awkward. If you require any special accommodations in order to participate as a volunteer, please do not hesitate to contact Emily directly at utah@bluestarfam.org to arrange.

Thank you for your willingness to assist the Utah Chapter! Complete the registration below to join us as a volunteer:
Please share wither you or your spouses service connection, which ever best applies!
