Learning Outcome: At the conclusion of this program participants will be able to correctly identify three selected cardiac rhythms and standard treatment measures for selected cardiac rhythms.
Objectives:
- Discuss the anatomy and physiology pertaining to cardiac rhythms.
- Review method to interpret 12 lead EKGS.
- Identify sinus cardiac rhythms and potential treatment methods.
- Identify atrial cardiac rhythms and potential treatment methods.
- Identify junctional cardiac rhythms and potential treatment methods.
- Identify ventricular cardiac rhythms and potential treatment methods.
- Identify AtrialāVentricular Block cardiac rhythms and potential treatment methods.
- Explain paced cardiac rhythms and potential treatment methods.
- Identify life threatening cardiac rhythms, with application of treatment methods.
- Discuss key components and implications of Acid Base Gases (ABGs) to changes in EKG findings.
- Discuss selected Electrolyte Disturbances as well as the patient presenting symptoms.
- Recognize the intervention for the disruptions of electrolyte balance, ABG imbalance as identified on ECG rhythm strips.
