Learning Background
For certain classes, students are grouped by level. Yeshivat Hadar is interested in students with demonstrated leadership potential. Leadership skills are essential for the community organizing and programming that lies at the heart of the yeshiva. Israel - State, People, Land
Yeshivat Hadar approaches Israel, Zionism, and the return of Jewish sovereignty with deep gratitude to live in this moment and a profound sense of responsibility around the ethics of power. Hadar has a full-time presence in Israel including hundreds of Israeli alumni, who have studied at Yeshivat Hadar in NYC and in our many programs in Israel. We embrace honesty and complexity, and you will find a wide range of views and approaches to Israel among faculty and fellow students at Hadar. Please describe any meaningful experience you’ve had in Israel, and how you think of Israel integrating into contemporary Jewish life. (1 paragraph)
