#HerFrameMatters Survey - General

Reelworld is in the process of a groundbreaking research project that has never been done before in Canada, and we need your help.

Since the inception of the Canadian screen industry the depictions of Black, Indigenous and racialized women have been stereotypical.  These images have had real life consequences in how women of colour have been viewed and treated. We are in the early stages of creating a protocol guideline to help broadcasters, producers and other creatives as they shape these depictions for the future.

Through the research steps of literature reviews, focus group discussions and one on one interviews with industry professionals from executives, producers, actors, writers, directors and crews, we have been able to garner information that will be helpful in the creation of this protocol guideline.

But we want to dig deeper and gain further insight from you. Please take a moment and answer the following questions. They will be invaluable to us as we continue to gather more information from a quantitative perspective.
