The Washington State legislature set aside funding to support training and capacity building for Washington State CLTs. The NWCLT Coalition is partnering with Grounded Solutions Network (GSN) to deliver the comprehensive program.
The Home Futures Institute will be fast-moving and is designed to include:
- An Advisory Committee to help review and design curriculum
- New tools and resources
- Virtual introductory trainings for community members and real estate professionals
- In-person comprehensive trainings for both start-up and established CLTs
- A data standards working group
- Summary landscape reports and recommendations for moving forward
The Institute will include three 2-day place based trainings on/around:March 7-9 in the Leavenworth area
April 3-5 in the Seattle area
May 1-2 in Blaine prior to the NWCLT Coalition Gathering
The trainings will include two full days of programming with travel so participants should plan on being away for up to three days each session.
Washington CLTs that meet the state definition shown below can participate in the training at no cost and can expect to receive compensation to offset their out of pocket costs such as staff time, travel and hotel.
Participants from outside of Washington, public agencies, or those which do not meet the CLT definition below may be able to participate provided that they can cover their own costs. The NWCLT Coalition may be able to provide some scholarships, on a case by case basis. Both cost information and scholarship information will be available soon, but please go ahead and register now to indicate your interest.
