Course Goal and Objectives

A skills-based training course that teaches participants to identify, understand and respond to mental health and substance use challenges.

• Learn how to assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis

• Learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health concerns

• How to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situation, and where to turn for help
