Thank you for your interest in joining our Board of Directors! We have open Board seats for the 2026 election cycle starting in April 2026. Before filling out this form, please read our Role Description to learn more about what a board member does and our preferred qualification and demographic criteria for the 2026 cycle.

Desired Skills & Expertise

The HFA Board is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion among its officers and directors. In addition, we are seeking individuals who possess experience and expertise in the fields of Financial Management, Technology/Digital Communications and Advocacy and Public Policy, and those who are bilingual.

Timeline
  • Application forms due by January 7, 2026, at 11:59pm
  • Zoom interviews with selected candidates - January 18th - January 30th, 2026
  • Final candidates asked to attend HFA's Symposium, April 16th-19th in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Eligibility for Service
Like many organizations, HFA has restrictions on who can serve on our Board of Directors.
  • Individuals employed by a manufacturing, pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, homecare, or insurance companies engaged in development, health care coverage, and/or sales of therapies utilized by individuals to ensure, diagnose, prevent or treat bleeding disorders may not serve as a member of the board of directors.
  • Individuals receiving income from Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA) or other bleeding disorder organizations are not eligible to serve on the board of directors or a voting member of committees.
  • Individuals serving on other boards shall declare they are aligned with HFA's conflict of interest policy. Click here to view policy
