Teton Science Schools offers two different overnight summer programs for middle school students. Your recommendation is part of your student's scholarship application process.

In addition to your recommendation, students will also be asked to fill out a questionnaire that includes short answer questions. Based on the number of great applicants we receive, we will be awarding scholarships several scholarships to cover the full cost of these programs

Wolves: Yellowstone Pack
Entering grades 6-7
July 17 - July 24, 2025
Cost: $1500

Program Description
Join us for eight days of adventure in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, learning about the natural world around us! Participants will explore the world of field science by creating and conducting a research project within Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Students will be lodged for 4 days at the historic Kelly campus before embarking on a 3 night frontcountry camping trip in Yellowstone National Park. Please note that this program requires students to carry a day pack (~10 lbs) for approximately 3 to 4 miles over uneven terrain each day.

Program Description
Explore the backcountry Grand Teton and leadership over a nine day adventure in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem! Students will have the chance to develop their confidence and leadership skills by canoeing, participating in a service project for the park, soaring on the Doug Walker Challenge Course, and learning to backpack. Lifelong memories and a passion for the outdoors are curated over 9 unforgettable days at Teton Science Schools. Please note that this program requires students to carry a ~50 lbs pack for approximately 15 miles total over multiple days on uneven terrain.
