Jewish LearningWorks Vaccine Policy

Jewish LearningWorks requires that all individuals participating in our in-person programs are fully vaccinated to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The imperative to preserve life – pikuach nefesh – is a core value of our tradition. As Jews and community members, we are obligated to do everything we reasonably can to ensure the health and safety of our staff and program participants. Respect – kavod – is also an essential Jewish value. Out of respect for others in our community, we ask that you not attend in-person programs at Jewish LearningWorks unless you are vaccinated against COVID-19.

In rare cases, we may make an exception for individuals who have a medical concern that precludes receiving vaccination. In such cases, Jewish LearningWorks will require program participants to remain masked and distanced. Please be in touch with us to request such an exception. All program participants understand that they are to assess their own health and risk tolerance levels and are encouraged to take any additional precautions they deem necessary.

Please note: Our policy will continue to evolve in accordance with CDC and California guidelines.

I understand that to attend Jewish LearningWorks in person programs, I must be fully vaccinated against COVID-1, or make arrangements directly with Jewish LearningWorks staff related to my vaccination status.

I understand that JLW cannot be held liable for any health issues I encounter because of my participation at in-person programs.
