Join Blue Star Families of the Jacksonville and Rosie Riveters for a hands-on, project-based STEM program for girls ages 5-14 in grades K-8th. The Rosie Riveters program provides a fun space to imagine, create, and play while developing skills in STEM.

We are excited to announce that the Spring 2023 classes will have all-new projects!

Classes are for Kindergarten to 8th graders. *Please note that participants must be of eligible age to enroll in Kindergarten in their school district in order to enroll in the K-2nd grade program.

Each participant will receive:

  • In-person class sessions with a Rosie Riveters instructor
  • Materials needed to build each project
  • Rosie Riveters headband

Application process: Applications will be accepted until 5 PM ET on Friday, March 10th. Rosie Riveters will notify all applicants of their acceptance status by the week of March 13th. Please complete a separate application for each child (K-8th grade) interested in attending.

How are participants selected? What are we looking for?

When building a class, Rosie Riveters considers numerous factors: diversity, geographic distribution (determined by the elementary or middle school where your child is enrolled), grade level, and if a child has participated in a Rosie Riveters program before.

Participation criteria:

The Rosie Riveters program meets four times. We want your child to get the most out of it, so please plan to have them attend all of the in-person sessions.

Have questions? Please get in touch with info@rosieriveters.com.

Please note: All gender identities are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the Rosie Riveters program. As an organization, Rosie Riveters believes everyone has an equal stake in the conversation regarding diversity in the STEM workforce and a corresponding responsibility to help facilitate that change.
