Summer Camp 2023 Overview 



5 Week Camp July 5 – Aug 4 

6 Week Camp July 5– Aug 11 (4th grade and up - Production)

Hours: 8am- 5pm

Students entering 1st-12th grade in September PROOF OF GRADE IS REQUIRED

We do provide a mid morning and afternoon snack, but lunch is NOT provided.  Campers are required to bring their own bagged lunch, but we cannot reheat or refrigerate food.  Food must be brought with campers in the morning; we cannot accept delivery service orders.

Students rotate through some of the following classes:

Acting · Creative Art · Hip Hop Dance · Music Makers · Piano · Rhythm & Drumming · Singing · Dance · Breakdance · Anime · Guitar · Electronic Music Production · Podcast · Yoga · Chef

1st – 3rd grade (5 weeks)  WAITLIST

Day Camp: 8am - 12:30pm (classes & lunchtime)        $595

Day Camp with Aftercare until 3pm        $775

Day Camp with Aftercare until 5pm        $890

        4th - 12th grade (5 weeks) _WAITLIST

        Day Camp with Recreation: 8am - 3pm                        $755

        RECREATION - Organized games, crafts and outside fun.

        Trips to swimming, roller skating, mini golf, bowling available for an additional cost.

        AFTERCARE:  3pm - 5pm                                             $890

4th -12th grade (6 weeks)

Day Camp with Production: 8am – 3pm        $870

PRODUCTION – Rehearsals every afternoon towards final group 

        show/production on evenings of Thurs. & Friday 8/10 & 8/11.
        Students pick one of the following areas to work on for the "big show":

· Band · Musical Theatre · Set Design · Play Production · Dance Team · Music Producers

Payment Plans – First Payment due at registration

Payment Plan Dates:

If you enroll by May 1: Tuition is paid in 5 installments (every 3 weeks) May – July (First at registration, then 5/3, 5/24, 6/14, 7/5)

If you enroll by May 23: Tuition is paid in 4 installments (every 3 weeks) May – July (First at registration, then 5/24, 6/14, 7/5)

If you enroll by June 10: Tuition is paid in 3 installments (every 3 weeks) June – July (First at registration, then, 7/5, 7/26)

Balance must be paid in full by July 26th

Financial Assistance: Need-based Financial Aid is available for qualifying families. Previous year’s 1099 and pay stubs must be submitted to qualify.  Deadline to apply June 13th.

The Institute of Music receives government funding and is therefore required to collect demographic data from all of our clients. The information gathered in this form is kept confidential and will only be used anonymously for statistical reporting.

Orientation Scheduling
In order to join us for Summer Camp, your attendance is required for Summer Orientation.  
Please be advised if your chid(ren) are going into 4th-12th grade, at the end of Orientation, they will need to do class selection.  Class selection doesn't take very long, but sometimes there are a lot of families who will need to select classes.  Please allot for 30 minutes after Orientation time to be available to come back for Class selection.

Morning Class Preferences:  Please be advised these are only preferences.  2 of the 4 options can be ensured, but not all are guaranteed.  If you would like Young Chefs, please select this as 1st Choice, and know a $50 fee will be applied after class selection.

Young Chef's Consent Form

Students will have the opportunity to use kitchen utensils and equipment during the Institute of Music for Children’s cooking program. Students will learn about appropriate handling of food items and safe operation and use of the kitchen equipment and they will be supervised at all times. Parents should be aware, however, that participation involves using knives and other sharp utensils, and that children will be working with and in close proximity to large kitchen equipment and hot items.  Classes may also involve handling of raw food items.  Although every precaution is taken to prevent accidents, a certain risk is involved due to the nature of the experience, the age of the student, and the learning environment.

By filling out this form, I authorize IMC to administer my child's EPI pen. 

Please be aware, we will be holding your child's EPI pen overnight during the duration of camp to ensure that your child has it every day.

By filling out this form, I authorize IMC to administer my child's inhaler, if necessary.

If we are holding your child's inhaler in the office, we will still hold the inhaler overnight to ensure that your child has it for each day of camp.

Also - please be aware, IMC requires parents to let us know if your child is having an asthma flare up or if any medication requirements have changed when they are dropped off.

A virtual copy of the Summer 2023 Handbook will be emailed to you.  Please make sure you familiarize yourself with it.
Media Release
I give my consent to the Institute of Music for Children (IMC) to photograph/video my child and to use such pictures and/or stories in connection with any of their work without consideration of compensation of any kind, and I do release IMC from any claims whatsoever which may arise in said regards.  Children's name will not be shown/used without consent. Doy mi consentimiento al Instituto de Música para Niños (IMC) para que fotografíe/video a mi hijo y use dichas imágenes y/o historias en relación con cualquiera de sus trabajos sin consideración de compensación de ningún tipo, y libero a IMC de cualquier reclamación que pudiera surgir al respecto. Please note that sibling discounts will be applied, but are NOT reflected in this registration form.  All payments must be completed no later than July 26th.

Payment Information
First payment is due today, but you can select the amount of payments.  If you have multiple students, and qualify for the Sibling discount, your payments will be adjusted to reflect the discount, and will not show exact amount below.
Installment plans
In order for your registration to be confirmed, the Financial Assistance application needs to be completed (with all necessary paperwork) within 5 business days as well as a $50 deposit per child, which will be taken at this time.  The money deposited will be applied to the amount owed for Summer Camp.  Please complete the Financial Aid application after completing this registration form.  The link can be found here:  Financial Aid application form
