Expression of Interest: AASW Live Online CPD Program









What is the suggested title of the CPD activity you would like to present and your preferred delivery mode? 


Webinars run from 1-1.5 hours including time for questions from the audience. Webinars should aim to provide attendees with significant evidence-based practice strategies to improve their professional practice. They should be broken down into the following timeframes and activities:

  • Context (25%)
  • Elaboration of ideas, including case studies or examples (25%)
  • Evidence-based strategies (25%)
  • Questions and discussion (25%)

 

Virtual workshops run for 3-4 hours and are highly interactive and dynamic. Please consider how you will achieve your learning outcomes via multiple activities and the digital tools you will use. Workshops should aim to actively improve skills and knowledge for participants through workshopping ideas and practices.

All webinars and workshops should conform to the AASW CPD Program Education and Design Standards, as detailed at the end of this document.

All CPD Activities undergo a Quality Assurance process. AASW hosted CPD Activities and AASW online CPD Activities are bound by the following Quality Standards:

Program Education and Design Standards

  1. Content:
    1. 1 is created from evidence-based practice
    2. 2 is relevant and contextualised to learner cohort
    3. 3 is aligned to current professional climate and context
    4. 4 is designed and reviewed by qualified and experienced Subject Matter Experts

 

  1. Program:
  2. 1 learning outcomes are explicit and achievable
  3. 2 is aligned to the AASW Capability Framework
  4. 3 is designed around authentic professional practice tasks
  5. 4 is co-designed for teaching quality with a senior instructional designer

(Short course learning only)

  1. 5 applies active learning principles to enhance engagement
  2. 6 features self-reflective activities to enhance professional practice
  3. 7 includes self-assessment checks so participants can self-measure learning
  4. 8 implements high quality learner experience design to enhance engagement
  5. 9 is evaluated by program participants and the AASW team

 

3.   Ethical standards

3.1 Real-life case studies, examples and scenarios will be de-identified or informed consent will be obtained by the presenter from relevant parties

AASW hosted CPD activities must meet all Quality Standards.
