Eligibility Criteria
To apply to Kitchen of Purpose's Front of House Training Program, you must meet the following
requirements:
- Passion for customer service and desire to pursue a career in the food industry.
- 21 years old or older
- Able to stand for 6-8 hours
- Unemployed or underemployed
- Able to read, write, and comprehend English language
- Drug-free for at least 120 days before applying to the program and agree to be
subject to random drug testing while participating in the program
- Comply with the training hours and attendance policy
Application Checklist
1) You will need to upload the following documents or drop them off in person at Kitchen of Purpose.
Complete the Online Application Form
If you are being referred, ensure your Referrer has completed the Online Referral Form (you will receive a link to send them after you have submitted your online application)
Copy of Valid US Government-Issued ID (US passport, Green Card,
Working Permit or Driver’s License)
Copy of Social Security Card
Copy of Last Income Tax Return form (2022) or Copy of SNAP receipt or
Copy of last pay stub.
Proof of residency (ID with address, utility bill, credit card statement,
cellphone bill, rent, etc.)
Police Background Check
Covid-19 Vaccination Card
2) Pass an interview with Kitchen of Purpose's staff.
3) Apply for a training subsidy with an agency local to you.
