Ingalls Champions, the Ingalls Shipbuilding volunteer program, seeks to establish a volunteer network to support special events including milestones, Apprentice Graduation and Family Day.

Your participation as a member of Ingalls Champions is crucial to our ensuring the success of company events. Attend volunteer kick-off event, Ingalls Champions Extravaganza and additional event support meetings to be considered for spotlight recognition and be considered for Ingalls Champions Volunteer of the Year.










Below are the volunteer opportunities. Please read each one thoroughly, then rank the volunteer position you would be most interested in doing. 

Bus Captains
  • Provide housekeeping information to guests en route
  • Give a scripted shipyard tour to guests en route
  • Manage private or proprietary information and prohibit onsite photography
Greeters, Seater and SWAG suppliers
  • Pass out memorabilia
  • Help meet guests at buses and offer them a flag and water
  • Direct guests to appropriate seating areas
  • Provide assistance to any guests that are visibly in need of help
Parking Lot, Crowd and Safety Management
  • Provide directional information to guests
  • Hospitality manage lines, crowds and boarding processes
  • Ensure safety protocols are always observed
  • Provide transportation of guests with special medical needs (must have valid driver’s license)
