Date: April 12th, 2023
Time: 9:30am - 11:00am
Location: More Than Words, 242 E Berkeley St, Boston MA 02118
The pandemic was difficult for all of us, and especially for young people who have faced disruptions impacting their learning and social emotional wellbeing. Join the Social Innovation Forum for a learning session that brings funders and nonprofit staff together for conversation about the challenges young people are facing, how nonprofits are working to support them, and what funders can do to partner in this work. The event will consist of an interactive panel discussion, small group conversation, and time for networking.
Michael Christian, Board President, Someone Else’s Child
Carolina De Jesus, CEO, Boston Higher Education Resource Center
Lenward Gatison, Assistant Director, Young Man with a Plan
Karen Pfefferle, Executive Director, Wellington Management Foundation
Arriving at the Event
More Than Words is a 10 minute walk from Broadway on the red line and Tufts on the orange line. The silver line stops nearby as well. There are two paid parking lots a block away in either direction (365 Albany St. and 39 Traveler St.).
We ask that all attendees wear masks for the duration of the event, except when actively eating or drinking. We are consciously limiting the number of attendees to 40, to allow for physical distancing and to ensure an environment where all can feel welcome to contribute.
The Social Innovation Forum strives to be accessible, inclusive, and diverse at all of our events. Please contact Jameelah Julien to request any accommodations. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
