BKCM conducts a survey on a biannual basis to gather important demographic and sentiment information about our student population. The questions in this survey are intended to help us understand who comprises BKCM's student body (ie our Demographic questions), as well as how students and families feel about BKCM (ie our Sentiment questions). The information we gathered when we last conducted this survey in 2021-2022 gave us a more complete picture of BKCM's student body, which in turn, informed our organization's efforts to strengthen every facet of diversity, equity, and inclusion at BKCM.
This year's survey is again led by BKCM's Director of DEI, Uton Onyejekwe, with guidance from BKCM Board of Trustees' Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. We have made some refinements to the survey, but it is substantively similar to the last survey, which allows us to understand the evolution of our student body's make-up and attitudes over time. This survey is administered to BKCM's students / families, our Board of Trustees, our Staff and our Faculty. We had 1,200 respondents when we last conducted the survey which provided BKCM with a meaningful body of data from which we could analyze and draw insights about our efforts. We are grateful for your willingness to complete the survey and for sharing this information with BKCM.
The survey information is confidential. We only report out on this data in the aggregate and not on individual students/families. The aggregate data will be shared with the Board, Staff, and specific institutional funders like large foundations and government entities who require this information as part of their support for BKCM.
