The Philadelphia Bar Foundation Award recognizes a public interest attorney dedicated to providing equal access to justice by working in, and providing exceptional service to, the nonprofit legal services field. The Philadelphia Bar Foundation Award honors the contribution of Louis D. Apothaker, a prominent Philadelphia attorney and former president of the Bar Foundation. The award continues the tradition begun by the Apothaker family in 1979 by honoring an outstanding leader within the legal profession and the public interest community.
