Call For Proposals - Constitution Day

TopLogoBlue

Every year, Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. JMC’s Constitution Day Initiative leverages this congressionally sanctioned national holiday to enhance constitutional literacy.

The Jack Miller Center is seeking proposals from college or university faculty for Constitution Day 2025, to include lectures, debates, and other programming that seeks to deepen students’ understanding of the Constitution.

We will consider proposals up to $3,000.

Proposals will be considered until May 30th, 2025. Decisions will be made on a rolling basis.

Please upload your proposal describing the event, potential speakers, themes, a complete budget, and the amount requested from the JMC.

For examples of past Constitution Day events and best practices see our Constitution Day Initiative webpage

We are interested in any event that enhances constitutional literacy. When considering speakers, we encourage you to consider members of the JMC Academic Advisory Council.

A further list of members of the broader JMC network who are interested in giving Constitution Day lectures may be found here

Thank you for your help. We look forward to hearing from you.
