2023 Pierce County P2P Helping Parent Volunteer Training 

WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO: Pierce County Parent to Parent partners with The ARC of Washington and Pierce County community connections to provide support, information, and education for parents of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs.


This is the required 4-hour training to become a 1:1 helping parent volunteer and support other parents who have just learned their child has a condition or need support for any reason. All participants must pass a background check.


Helping Parent Volunteers and staff assist families in coping with many challenging experiences and feelings.

When: Two 2-hour sessions
May 24, 2023 from 10 am - 12 pm 
May 31, 2023 from 10 am - 12 pm
Where: Zoom (meeting link will be sent to you shortly before training sessions begin)

You will receive instructions for completing the background check once you have finished registration.
