100 by 100 Scholarship Application

  • The 100 by 100 Scholarship serves ethnic Uyghur refugees and their dependents that experienced displacement due to policies of the Government of China that offend universal human rights of ethnic Uyghurs. This scholarship is committed to developing a better future for the Uyghur diaspora through training for an IT career. This opportunity reflects the experience of CYDEO Co-Founder, Kuzzat Altay, and is a symbol of his dedication to the Uyghur diaspora.

    Please note, scholarships will not be awarded unless this form and all requested supporting documents are submitted to CYDEO. The scholarship has limited funds and may not be awarded to all eligible applicants.

    The scholarship may not be available to all the programs listed. Please check with your advisor if you are unsure if the scholarship is available for the program you are applying for.

CYDEO must verify your community membership to determine your eligibility based on the below verification documents. CYDEO reserves the right to request additional supporting documentation to verify service status.   


Criteria 

Minimum Required Documents

Ability to speak basic Uyghur language

Letter of Support from the Uyghur American Association (UAA) that confirms language skills

Verify refugee status is within 10 years of CYDEO application date.

Documents (e.g. USCIS or UN) that demonstrate refugee status either in the U.S. or other country issuing the refugee status (not required to be the U.S.) 

Must hold current or expired passport from China

Color photocopy of passport. Provide explanation for any differences in names. In cases where passports are withheld, a birth certificate may be accepted.

If you are a family member or legal guardian of a Uyghur community member who meets the above criteria. 

In addition to submitting documents above for the sponsoring Uyghur community member, submit documents that demonstrate legal family connection
