Position Description

Young Judaea is seeking six dynamic, friendly, and outgoing Campus Ambassadors to engage alumni on their current college campuses. This is a great opportunity for students who love Young Judaea to take a leadership role on their college campus and engage fellow YJ alumni through events and activities.


Responsibilities

  • Host one in-person YJ alumni event in community/campus per semester (2x per year)
  • Collaborate with other Young Judaea Ambassadors to host one Zoom event for Young Judaea alumni during school year
  • Keep record of alumni on campus, including collecting contact information
  • Attend two zoom meetings with other campus ambassadors two times per semester (4x per year)
  • Meet with supervisor (in-person or Zoom) at the beginning of each semester to discuss alumni engagement plan
  • Engage in a WhatsApp group with other Young Judaea Student Ambassadors to collaborate/brainstorm
  • Work with Hillel or other Jewish groups on campus to identify Judeans
  • Be a point of contact for incoming/interested Year Course participants

Qualifications

  • Attended a Young Judaea program within the last four years (Young Judaea camps, Year Round Programs, Gesher, Year Course, Amirim, Onward Israel, etc.)
  • Currently attend a college or university
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management skills
  • Excited about Israel and the Young Judaea movement

Compensation

  • $500 stipend at end of year
  • Up to $100 towards in-person alumni engagement events
