iFoster Smooth Transitions Referral Form CA Guaranteed Income & Other Resources

CDSS has partnered with iFoster to provided a Guaranteed Income (GI) Pilot Program for TAY exiting the extended foster care program at age 21.

iFoster will disburse $750 per month for 18 months to 354 qualifying individuals. Individuals will be selected for receipt of GI using random assignment, or a lottery, as it is expected that more people will apply than the program funding will allow. Another 354 eligible invidividuals will be randomly assigned to a control group who will receive $20/month for 18 months. iFoster will provide resource navigation services including benefits counseling and application support to all youth regardless of eligibility for or enrollment in GI pilot program.
