HIGH HOLY DAY CONFIRMATION FORM  5784 / 2023

YOUR NAME
Only one registration needed per household.

Some of the most important days of our religious year are nearly here—Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Beth Emet offers services both in-person and livestreamed for you to choose from — in our Sanctuary, in your homes, or a combination of both.

As we welcome all those who choose to worship in-person, we continue to emphasize the importance of knowing one another's names.  We will again be using name badge inserts, and will have lanyards available when you arrive for services.

To receive name badge inserts (tickets) and the links, please remember that you need to pay at least 25% of your total membership commitment as well as all past balances from prior years.  Should you need to make financial arrangements, please contact Bekki Kaplan.  Two adult households will receive two name badges and individual households will receive one name badge.  All member children ages 21 - 26 will receive name badges upon request.

Our value of hospitality - hachnasat orchim - continues throughout the holidays, offering worship services to all in our community - including members who wish to bring family and friends who have not yet joined but want to make Beth Emet their home for the holidays.  Beth Emet welcomes them, and we never turn anyone away from services who are not in a position to pay.  That said, your sponsorship for the High Holy Days is one important way in which to live our values while ensuring that we can defray the costs associated with the holidays.  Your contribution makes a difference.

Below are opportunities to:

  1. make a donation
  2. request additional name badge(s) and/or links to participate virtually
  3. sign up for volunteer opportunities
  4. submit names for the Yizkor (memorial) book
  5. purchase a machzor (prayerbook)
  6. purchase a lulav and etrog set (for Sukkot)

If you require assistance in filling out the form, please contact the office at office@bethemet.org or call 847-869-4230 (ext. 0).

Wishing you a wonderful and healthy 5784!  L'shanah Tovah!

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

We rely on the generosity of our members to support our High Holy Day worship services and programs. Our goal is to raise $50,000 which will allow us to continue to offer hybrid technology and other ways to ensure that our holiday participation is meaningful, secure, and beautiful. And while non-member tickets were a significant source of revenue pre-pandemic, we are now providing the opportunity for guests to access the High Holy Days with a suggested donation. Your support helps to defray these significant costs.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

We extend an invitation to the larger community to worship with us, and while we do not charge $250 per ticket for non-members as we did pre-pandemic, we do provide the opportunity for all our guests to access the High Holy Days with a suggested donation. Please consider a donation as your way in which to support the community and help us cover the expenses that we incur to provide worship services and programs. Please note that your contribution will be applied towards a first year introductory membership, should you choose to join. Our goal this year is to raise $50,000 which will allow us to continue to offer hybrid technology and ensure that our holiday participation is meaningful, secure, and beautiful. We can make this possible through your generous support which allows us to open and expand our home to those such as yourself who wish to be a part of our community.

YIZKOR (Memorial) BOOK
The coming High Holy Day season brings with it memories of families and friends praying together, past joys, and the sadness of recalling those loved ones who are no longer with us. If you have not yet included names of loved ones to honor their member, we invite you to do so here.  For those who have already included names either for this year (though a separate mailing) or in year's past, no need to respond.  Given printing deadlines, entries cannot be accepted after Monday, August 21.
