AMSI is pleased to partner with the Australian National University (ANU) to host AMSI Summer School 2024 from 8 January - 2 February at their Acton Campus, Canberra and online.

Applications for AMSI Summer School include submission of this form AND payment via the ANU online payment gateway (which you will be redirected to when you submit this form).
  • Applicants can choose to study one or two subjects - view subject guides
  • With permission from their home university, students can gain credit for one subject 
    (ensure you discuss with your honours/masters/program coordinator to confirm your eligibility and receive the required permissions)

Every effort will be made to accommodate your first preference/s, however, acceptance is not guaranteed due to subject maximum capacities. We recommend nominating an additional preference.




It is your responsibility to discuss with your home university and receive permission to take subjects for credit



Student Travel Grants
AMSI Travel Grants are available for students enrolled at AMSI Member Universities to receive accommodation in Canberra at Bruce Hall Main Wing for the duration of the School and/or assist with the cost of travel from their home city to Canberra.

Female, First Nations, and rural, regional and remote students are strongly encouraged to apply.

On Campus Accommodation

Upon completion of this form you will be redirected to the ANU payment gateway where you have the option to book and pay for on campus accommodation at Bruce Hall Main Wing. 


Located on Daley Road, only a 5-minute walk to the ANU Mathematical Sciences Institute (MSI), and a couple of the Summer School Lecture Theatres. 


Guests will have their own furnished room with balcony, linen included, internet, shared bathrooms, study and common areas as well as access to a roof top garden. 


Hotel style buffet dining options available daily in the residence Dining Hall. All dietaries catered for. If preferred, lunch can be made available daily in a takeaway container.

  • Room only – $1742
  • Room with breakfast only – $2340
  • Room with breakfast and lunch – $2860

Event Details
You are strongly encouraged to attend in-person at ANU to maximise your Summer School experience, however virtual participation is also available.

Note: some elements of the program will not be available in virtual mode (social events for example)
