The “We Make Camden Kit” gives money and support to Camden residents and community groups who have great ideas for their communities.

Residents and community groups can apply to receive up to £2,000 to deliver ideas that contribute to five core themes, also known as Camden’s missions:

  • Access to food for all
  • Representative leadership
  • Eco-friendly neighbourhoods
  • Opportunities for young people
  • Stronger communities

The kit has been designed to enable the quick and easy delivery of citizen and community- led activity.

Camden residents can also work with Camden Giving to receive support with insurance, safeguarding and connections to make their ideas a success.

The fund is open to applications from Camden-based constituted voluntary and community sector organisations (VCSOs), un-constituted groups with an annual income below £250,000 and Camden citizens that deliver activities for charitable purposes

It is also open to schools who are delivering projects that either fall outside of the normal curriculum or are designed and led by students.

Video Submission

You are ENCOURAGED to attach or upload a video to support your application.

Video Submission Guidelines

You are encouraged to submit a video that captures your organisation and describes why it should be funded. The video is an opportunity to showcase your passion and to pitch your story in a succinct format. We want you to share your vision with our community panel in a way that is different from the written proposal format. This DOES NOT need to be a professionally produced video; video filmed on a smartphone is acceptable and encouraged.

Your video must adhere to the following:

  • A length of no more than 2 minutes. Please note, videos over 2 minutes may make your application incomplete. Do get in touch with the team if you foresee an issue with this.
  • Your pitch must be in English, or if another language, subtitled in English.
  • Your video should not contain any images of identifiable children (under age 18) without written parental consent.

Here are general suggestions for delivering a high-quality video pitch:

  • Introduce yourself and your organisation and/or team.
  • Describe the project that you are proposing.
  • Explain how your project fits Camden Missions.
  • Describe how you would plan for your project to be a success.
Please provide a video that has been uploaded to an online platform such as YouTube or Vimeo. If you are having any trouble uploading the video, feel free to email it to admin@camdengiving.org.uk or send it via WhatsApp to 07570844389.
