5th Annual ELEVATE

Seattle Theatre Group (Paramount, Moore, Neptune) is seeking young (ages 14-20) black + brown spoken word artists, poets, creative writers, monologuist, songwriters, speech writers and more from all backgrounds and experience levels to participate in ELEVATE 2025.

Benefits:

Young Artists will work with local mentors
Perform at an STG Venue
Build a community of arts-minded peers
All participants receive a stipend for participating in the program and any additional performance
Comp tickets to STG performances (based on availability)

Requirements:

Attend all scheduled rehearsals
Create personal and collaborative spoken word pieces
Block off June 10-12, 2025, for ON SITE rehearsals at an STG Venue (TBA) 5:00pm -9:30pm

Writing Session: March 5th - 5:30-7:00pm

Writing Session: March 12th- 5:30-7:00pm

Writing Session: March 19th - 5:30-7:00pm

Writing Session: April 2nd - 5:30-7:00pm

Writing Session: April 9th - 5:30-7:00pm

Writing Session: April 23rd - 5:30-7:00pm

Writing Session: May 7th - 5:30-7:00pm

Writing Session: May 14th - 5:30-7:00pm

Writing Session: May 21st - 5:30-7:00pm

Writing Session: June 4th - 5:30-7:00pm

Tech Rehearsal: June 10th 5-9:30pm (Location TBA)

Tech Rehearsal: June 11th 5-9:30pm (Location TBA)

Final Performance: June 12th 6-8:30pm (Location TBA)

Please note that you will be expected to commit approximately an hour a week to the project virtually and/or in-person.
This could take place in the evening during the week or some time on the weekends. I acknowledge that we will be present for all rehearsal and will block off June 10-12 2025.
