Keeping Their Memories Alive

Our voices will not be silenced, and our ancestors will not be forgotten. Please share a photo in remembrance of a Nikkei ancestor who you would like to honor and whose memory inspires you in some way. Submissions to this crowd-sourced remembrance project will be shared during Densho’s 2023 Virtual Fundraiser on October 5.

Submissions close on September 22.

We will do our best to feature as many submissions as we can, but we may not be able to include every submission. We may also lightly edit your submission for length and clarity. Thank you for understanding!

For the ancestor you are honoring during the Densho program, please consider sharing the year of their birth and of their death, as well as the camp they were sent to (if applicable) so that we can include that information along with their name and photo.
