We’re casting our line and looking to reel in a group of military kids in Jacksonville to participate in a Junior Ranger Angler Fishing Clinic at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park! This event is brought to you by Blue Star Families, the National Park Service, and Timucuan Parks Foundation. One -hour fishing clinic with stations where you'll learn about ethical angling, knot tying, casting, and fishing
Meet the Gullah Geechee people and learn about African American fishing experiences and traditions
Watch a demonstration from the Gullah Geechee people and a National Park Service volunteer as they demonstrate the traditional Timucuan fishing technique
Each child will take home a brand new Zebco fishing pole after the clinic is complete
**Please note that if your child is 16 or older, they will be required to have a fishing license to take part in the clinic.**
