YJ Teens 2025 Convention Registration


Join YJ Teens at any (or all) of our four conventions this winter and spring! Come for a weekend of seeing old friends and making new ones while exploring aspects of Jewish identity, Zionism, pluralism, and tikkun olam. All programs and activities will be planned and run by the members of the 2024-2025 National or Regional Mazkirut, our teen governing leadership board. Participants will have the opportunity to elect their peers to the 2025-2026 National or Regional Mazkirut and make their voices heard!

There are regional scholarships available. These are not connected to YJ Teens, but are local scholarship opportunities available to high school students. If you know of any local or regional scholarships available to high school teens, please reach out to yjteens@youngjudaea.org.
YJ Teens is committed to making convention as accessible as possible. There are some scholarships available. To apply, please fill out this scholarship application. Scholarship will be provided as a reimbursement to the card you use to pay for conventions. How: Flights should be booked in and out of Newark Airport (EWR)


Arrivals, Friday, January 17:

Flying: Bus will depart Newark International Airport at 11:15 am, flights should be scheduled to arrive by 11 am. Please reach out to yjteens@youngjudaea.org for suggested flights.


Busing: Busing may be available from Manhattan or other local points at 11 am, bus from Newark for local drop off will depart at 11:15 am


Driving: Convention begins at 2 pm, Frost Valley YMCA is approximately 2.5 hours from NYC


Departures, Monday, January 20:

Convention ends at 10 am for local pick up, buses are expected to arrive at Newark and the NYC area by 1 pm, and flights should be scheduled to leave Newark between 3 pm and 6 pm



Midwest Convention

March 6-9, 2025


Convention Cost: $500

Early Bird until January 25, 2025: $450

How: Flights should be booked in and out of Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD)


Arrivals, Thursday, March 6:

Flying: Bus will depart Chicago O'Hare International Airport at 5:45pm, flights should be scheduled to arrive between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.


Busing: Bus from Chicago O'Hare International Airport for local drop off will depart at 5:45pm. 


Driving: Convention begins at 7pm, Camp Nageela Midwest is approximately 1 hour from Chicago.


Departures, Sunday, March 9:

Convention ends at 9am for local pick up, the airport bus is expected to arrive at Chicago O'Hare International Airport at 10am, and flights should be scheduled to leave Chicago O'Hare International Airport between 12pm and 2pm.



Texas/West/Southeast Convention 

March 21-23, 2025


Convention Cost: $500

Early Bird until February 7, 2025: $450

Where: Camp Young Judaea Texas in Woodcreek, TX


Who: All current 8th - 12th graders from Texas, West, and Southeast


How: Flights should be booked in and out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)


Arrivals, Friday, March 21:

Flying: Bus will depart Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 3:45 pm, flights should be scheduled to arrive between 1:30pm and 3:30pm.


Busing: Busing may be available from Houston at 1:30pm, from Dallas at 1pm, and from San Antonio at 3:30pm. Bus from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport for local drop off will depart at 3:45pm.


Driving: Convention begins at 4:30pm, Camp Young Judaea Texas is approximately 1 hour from Austin, 3.5 hours from Houston, 4 hours from Dallas, 1.5 hours from San Antonio.


Departures, Sunday, March 23:


Convention ends at 9am for local pick up, the airport bus is expected to arrive at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport around 10am, and flights should be scheduled to leave Austin-Bergstrom International Airport between 12:30pm and 2:30pm. The Houston bus is expected to arrive in Houston at 12:30pm, the Dallas bus is expected to arrive in Dallas at 1pm, and the San Antonio bus is expected to arrive in San Antonio at 10:30am.



Northeast Convention 

April 4-6, 2025


Convention Cost: $500

Early Bird until February 21, 2025: $450

Where: Camp Zeke in Lakewood, PA


Who: All current 8th - 12th graders from the Northeast


How: Trains should be booked in and out of New York Penn Station, and buses will be available from the NYC area


Arrivals, Friday, April 4:

Traveling by train: Bus will depart New York Penn Station at 11:15 am, trains should be scheduled to arrive by 10:45am.


Busing: Busing will be available from Manhattan and other local points at 11am, busing from Newark may be available at 11:15am.


Driving: Convention begins at 2pm, Camp Zeke is approximately 3 hours from New York City.


Departures, Sunday, April 6:

Convention ends at 9am for local pick up. The NYC bus is expected to arrive in Manhattan around 12pm, and trains should be scheduled to leave New York Penn Station between 1pm and 3pm. The Newark bus is expected to arrive at 12pm.

The Parent/guardian signing below (“Parent”) hereby consents and gives permission to participate in Young Judaea Conventions the “Event” which term shall include all times and all activities during or related to the Event, travel to, from and during or related to the Event, and early dismissal, expulsion or other removal, if any, from the Event) on or about the following date(s): January 17 - 20, 2025 National Convention, March 6 - 9, 2025 Midwest Convention, March 21 - 23, 2025 Texas/West/Southeast Convention, April 4 - 6, 2025 Northeast Convention and any date(s) to which such Event may be postponed or rescheduled. Parent and Child each agree that Child will observe and be bound by all policies, terms, conditions, rules and regulations and restrictions (including, without limitation, rules related to discipline and drug and alcohol use), whether written or unwritten, of the Event or Young Judaea (the “Program Terms”), including any such Program Terms as may be changed, modified, or newly established at any time, including after this Consent, Release and Indemnification is signed.

Young Judaea Event Rules of Good Conduct


The following rules and restrictions are in place to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of all participants at the Young Judaea Event. During the Event, Young Judaea may find it necessary to alter and/or add rules and restrictions. Participants agree to fully comply with all Event rules and restrictions including any alterations and/or additions made by Young Judaea. All Event rules apply throughout the entirety of the Event including during free time. Any failure to comply with Young Judaea’s rules and restrictions and any alterations and/or additions thereto may result in disciplinary measures as set forth in these Rules of Good Conduct, in the sole discretion of Young Judaea, up to and including immediate dismissal and/or other removal from the Event. The following Event rules are not exclusive and the failure to specify in each rule that violation may result in dismissal or other removal from the Event shall not preclude Young Judaea from doing so in its sole discretion. Further, the failure of Young Judaea at any time to enforce any rule or restriction or to exercise any right with respect to disciplinary action, will not be construed as a waiver of any such right, will not affect any subsequent violation, and will not prejudice Young Judaea in connection with any subsequent enforcement or disciplinary action.

Participants and parents/guardians have read, understand, and agree to follow these policies.

1. All participants have read, understand and agree to follow the Young Judaea Tobacco, Drug and Alcohol Policy (the “Drug and Alcohol Policy”) set forth above as part of this Consent, Release and Indemnification. Any participant found to be in violation of the Drug and Alcohol Policy understands that he/she will be disciplined in accordance with the Drug and Alcohol Policy.

2. In order to provide an atmosphere which is comfortable for everyone, Kashrut will be observed.

3. No one may leave the Event grounds (as such grounds are defined by the Event manager in their sole discretion) without specific permission of the Event manager.

4. All participants must obey the staff members at all times. Participants must respect each other and all other people they come into contact with during the Event and refrain from inappropriate behavior.

5. All participants must respect the property of each other and of the Event site.

6. All participants will attend and participate in the entire Event, including all of its scheduled activities, unless otherwise informed by the staff, it being understood that physical sports are always optional.

7. Young Judaea reserves the right to search the property and/or accommodations of any participant including accommodations not owned and/or operated by Young Judaea, with or without the presence of the participant.

8. Participants are not permitted to possess knives or other weapons of any kind.

9. Participants are jointly responsible with their parent(s)/guardian(s) for any damage, including graffiti, to the physical facilities used for the Event and parent(s)/guardian(s) will be billed to cover the cost of the repair.

10. Participants disrupting the group, not adhering to Event rules and policies and/or not participating in mandatory Event activities, as determined in the sole discretion of the Young Judaea staff, will result in disciplinary action and/or dismissal.

11. Participants will be advised of further rules which govern the Event, and by which each participant agrees to be bound, at the start of and throughout the Event.

Any participant who is dismissed or otherwise removed from the Event, will be sent home at their own expense. The participant and their parent/guardian are responsible for the cost of returning them home, including the return fare, shipping of baggage, any other associated expenses, and for any and all damages arising out of the involvement of the participant and/or the participant’s actions. The above also applies to any participant who voluntarily removes themselves from the program.

In all cases of discipline, dismissal and/or other removal, the determination of Young Judaea regarding the Event rules, restrictions, and policies and their application shall be final and not subject to challenge in any forum. In addition, Young Judaea reserves the right to contact the local authorities. Any violation of law by or involving a participant will be subject to the penalty, laws and rules imposed by the local jurisdiction, and Young Judaea will not undertake to provide participant with legal assistance.

Cancellation Policy

National Convention
If you cancel your participation on or before December 17, 2024, you will be eligible for a refund of the total program fee. If you cancel on or before January 3, 2025 you will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total program fee. On or after January 4, 2025 no refunds will be available. In all cases, cancellation forfeits any double convention discounts. Regardless of when you cancel, if cancellation occurs after you have purchased an airline ticket, you will be responsible for the full price of the airline ticket. No refunds will be given for participants who are dismissed and/or otherwise removed from or leave National Convention for any reason (voluntary or involuntary) once the program has commenced. Young Judaea reserves the right to cancel National Convention, or change any of the itineraries due to low enrollment, security or other reasons as determined by Young Judaea’s sole and absolute discretion. Program prices are subject to change in Young Judaea’s sole and absolute discretion.

Midwest Convention
If you cancel your participation on or before February 6, 2025, you will be eligible for a refund of the total program fee. If you cancel on or before February 20, 2025 you will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total program fee. On or after February 21, 2025 no refunds will be available. In all cases, cancellation forfeits any double convention discounts. Regardless of when you cancel, if cancellation occurs after you have purchased an airline ticket, you will be responsible for the full price of the airline ticket. No refunds will be given for participants who are dismissed and/or otherwise removed from or leave Midwest Convention for any reason (voluntary or involuntary) once the program has commenced. Young Judaea reserves the right to cancel Midwest Convention, or change any of the itineraries due to low enrollment, security or other reasons as determined by Young Judaea’s sole and absolute discretion. Program prices are subject to change in Young Judaea’s sole and absolute discretion.

Texas/West/Southeast Convention
If you cancel your participation on or before February 21, 2025, you will be eligible for a refund of the total program fee. If you cancel on or before March 7, 2025 you will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total program fee. On or after March 8, 2025 no refunds will be available. In all cases, cancellation forfeits any double convention discounts. Regardless of when you cancel, if cancellation occurs after you have purchased an airline ticket, you will be responsible for the full price of the airline ticket. No refunds will be given for participants who are dismissed and/or otherwise removed from or leave National Convention for any reason (voluntary or involuntary) once the program has commenced.
