Barriers and Enablers Evaluation of Enhanced Perioperative Care (BEE-EPC)

What is this survey about?

This survey is part of a larger study called the Barriers and Enablers Evaluation of Enhanced Perioperative Care (BEE-EPC).

Enhanced Perioperative Care (EPC) refers to specialized care for surgical patients who require more support than can be provided on a standard ward. EPC can be delivered in various hospital settings, such as dedicated post-anaesthetic care units, intensive care units, or specific beds in other hospital areas.

This survey aims to understand how EPC is organized and provided across NHS hospitals in England.

Survey responses will be processed anonymously, and inform the approach to the second phase of the BEE-EPC study, which will involve staff interviews.

Who should complete this questionnaire?

The questionnaire should be completed by any healthcare professional involved in perioperative care for surgical patients at your hospital.

How to complete this questionnaire

Please respond based on your understanding of your hospital’s current perioperative services.

The questionnaire should take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

Thank you!
