Please fill out this form if you are interested in joining the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) Capital Region Volunteer Base.


The NYIC is an umbrella policy & advocacy organization that represents immigrant and refugee rights groups throughout New York. As the New York Immigration Coalition continues to expand its reach across the State of New York, we are eager to develop our volunteer base in the Capital Region. To ensure we effectively address the needs of the communities we serve, we are seeking volunteers willing to support community events for our diverse immigrant communities across various cities in the area. Volunteer roles may include but are lot limited to:

  • Logistics: Set-up / Breakdown, registration, scanning and printing documents

  • Interpretation:  Spanish, Arabic, French, Haitian Creole, Wolof & others
  • Legal Services: Assist with intake processes and/or, if qualified, completing immigration forms (i.e. Asylum Clinics, TPS, Employment Authorization)

To be part of the volunteer base in the Capital Region, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age;
  • and sign a volunteer agreement
Please note that this is an interest form and filling it out does not guarantee you a spot in this volunteer base. Upon submission, we will review your form and contact you when volunteer opportunities become available
