Access Reelworld

The Reelworld Producer Program, is a year-long program that fosters an immersive learning environment and creates pathways to build a career as a producer in the television industry. The program has a 2-3 hour commitment per week between March and June. Another session of workshops require attendance in August. 


Those selected for the program will be immersed in the business side of the Canadian entertainment industry. In this one year program, producer trainees will choose a project and mentor under key professionals to learn valuable skills such as creating a corporation, retaining intellectual property rights, choosing and optioning scripts, creating deal memos, choosing key creatives, casting directors, and more. Producer trainees will work with facilitators be introduced to key industry professionals, and have the chance to pitch their chosen project and get it into development. 

We are looking for aspiring producers who really want to focus on the art of producing. If you are a director or writer focused on their own body of work this program is not for you.  If chosen, Bell Media will be taking an active interest in your project and your development.

Applications will close January 19th at 1 pm ET. Applicants will be notified by Feb 21st.

The program will start in March 2024 and continue through to August, 2024. Workshops will usually take place between 12-2pm ET. Please also be prepared for possible travel to markets if selected under the Market Ready Program. All Program participants will receive passes to the 2023 Reelworld Summit+Festival in October.
