The Dismantling Racism Youth Curriculum was written by Katie McRee and Sally Ulrey in collaboration with the Absalom Jones Center for Racial Healing and the Office of Youth Ministries in the Diocese of Atlanta.

Because we want to do this work well, with both intentionality and skillfulness, getting and using the curriculum requires two prerequisites of the leaders who intend to use it:

1. that they attend a prerequisite anti-racism training (all Dioceses are supposed to offer this, but if you don't have this type of training in your Diocese, one is available through the Absalom Jones Center for Racial Healing. If you've attended trainings with Sacred Ground or Kaleidescope that would also suffice. Refer questions to Sally Ulrey.  It is essential that those who come to the curriculum training have started on their personal, internal work of dismantling racism in a interactive cohort or accountability group type of setting.
2. that they attend THIS online youth curriculum training on how to use the curriculum. Please be ready to provide the date and training information of your prerequisite anti-racism training during the registration process for the Youth Curriculum Training. This curriculum training consists of two parts: (a) completing the online pathway and (b) having a follow-up call with a trainer to make sure you have everything you need, and provide accountability for the training.
