Applicant Selection Criteria:

·   Lives or works in New York City 

·   Can demonstrate a commitment to strengthening our City

·   Has a thirst for personal and professional development

·   Is interested in actively participating in the Coro community and LNY alumni network

 

Application Deadline: Wednesday, May 15th, 2024 at 11:59 PM


You have the option to save and resume your application at a later time, and review fully before the final submission.


Applicants with the organizational fiscal year ending June 30th, 2024: Candidate selection and scholarship will be announced Monday, June 3rd. Contact us in advance if you need to be considered for early acceptance to spend professional development funds before the end of June.

Coro requires all staff and program participants who will be present in any Coro space to be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine shots. LNY describes civic engagement as the work you do to positively uplift your community. It could include running errands for your neighbors or volunteering at your local mutual aid group or the work you do in your day job.

Requested Demographic Information

Coro is committed to building LNY cohorts that reflect the demographics of New York City and strengthen those from historically marginalized groups in leadership roles. To track our efforts, we ask you to share some demographic data. This is completely optional. Representation matters, and we’ve intentionally designed our recruitment and application strategies to this end. 


We value your choices. You may always choose not to disclose, simply by leaving a question blank, and your responses are confidential. We will not associate your name with any of your responses, and all individual responses will be combined and reported as a group.

Employer Endorsement

The Leadership New York program requires significant time away from your workplace; we encourage you to discuss the requirements and time commitment with your supervisor.


Tuition & Scholarship

Tuition for the program is $8,000 for approximately 175+ hours of leadership development training, individual and small group coaching, and access to Coro alumni and cross-program events.

 

The acceptance letter will include any scholarship notification and payment plan options. 


Please note that employers are responsible for program costs in full before the program begins and individuals can opt to pay in full, or a signed agreement with Coro on a specific payment schedule before the program commences.



Scholarship request information is hidden during the selection process; it is not weighted in considering you for the program. Your information will be kept confidential.

 

Scholarships range from $500-$4,000.


Through the TD Bank Non-Profit Training Resource Fund, eligible non-profit organizations can receive grants of up to $1,000 for employees to attend programs like Leadership New York. For more information, visit their website.
