2024 Donald Rix Inspiring Business Excellence Scholarship - $2,500

Award Description

This award recognizes a self-identifying Indigenous OR rural (outside Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Greater Victoria) OR new immigrant youth (born outside Canada) Junior Achiever who has demonstrated significant growth in business skills, learning skills, leadership skills and/or entrepreneurial skills.

The award recipient will receive $2,500 to support their diverse educational or other needs.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must:

Identify as an Indigenous (self-identifying) OR rural (all participants living outside Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Greater Victoria) OR immigrant youth (born outside of Canada).
Have participated in JA Company Program, JA Company Program for Indigenous Learners, or JA Be Entrepreneurial.
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Be under the age of 29.

Other requirements:

Complete the online application in full, an updated resume & media consent form.
Display proficient written and oral communication skills.
Have not received this award previously.
