Do you know your legal responsibilities to your volunteers?
This 2-part course will help you understand legislation, volunteer agreements,
how to avoid risk, and gain awareness of the common pitfalls facing
volunteering for organisations.
Who's it for?
Any organisation which involves volunteers and especially those managing
volunteers. All community and voluntary groups rely on volunteers to help you
to run your organisation. This course will help you understand your legal
responsibilities.
This 2-part
course will look at:
- Legislation
- Avoiding creating contracts
- Reducing risk
- Volunteer Agreements and paperwork
- Expenses
- Common pitfalls facing volunteering involving
organisations
- Hints and tips on the best way to manage your
volunteers and implement good practice
Course dates:
- Part 1: Thursday 18th April, 10am-12pm
- Part 2: Thursday 25th April, 10am-12pm
We ask that you attend both sessions if possible as this training is
designed to build on knowledge developed throughout the course. Please let us
know in advance if you think you will not be able to attend one of the sessions
and we can make adjustments as needed. The course will be led by a Sector
Development at CVS Cheshire East.
Training cost:
- CVS members: Only £10
- Non-members: £45
