As part of our efforts to reduce climate impact of our work and that of our partners, we have teamed up with Phil Beardmore, of www.energyconfidence.co.uk to provide support to help some of Birmingham’s larger third sector organisations review their current environmental performance and develop strategies to mitigate the climate impact of their operations.
We have set aside funds for up to 10 bursaries in the first instance. The Trust will meet 75% the costs of EnergyConfidence’s initial assessment and ongoing support, up to a maximum of £1,000. To ensure our offer has maximum environmental impact, you will need to own or have substantial control over energy use in your premises (i.e. not be subletting part of a larger building where you have no control over suppliers, renovations etc.).
EnergyConfidence can help you with:
- understanding your environmental impact
- developing strategies to make buildings more energy efficient
- working with your partner organisations and supply chain to reduce the environmental impact of these activities
- setting realistic targets so you can measure and report on your progress
- identifying and tackling organisational and cultural barriers that are holding you back from becoming a low-carbon organisation.
