The National Sustainable Energy Group has partnered with SELF, a nonprofit green bank/CDFI, to provide access to low cost financing for home improvements. SELF does not use credit score but instead the "ability to repay." SELF's green home loans are unsecured so you can never lose your home. SELF uses a soft credit pull so your credit score will not be impacted if you do not move forward with a loan.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant must be the homeowner.
Property Taxes must be current.
Credit instruments, like mortgage, auto loans, installment loans and revolving lines of credit must be current.
Must be able to provide Proof of Income.
No bankruptcies discharged within the last 2 years.
