APPLICANT INFORMATION (2/5)

CONTACT INFORMATION

APPLICATION MATERIALS (3/5)

LETTER OF INTENT [MAX 1000 WORDS]

ACTING RESUMÉ / CURRICULUM VITAE [MAX TWO (2) PAGES]
Your Resumé/Curriculum Vitae should contain an up-to-date account of your experience, education, training, and theatre/onscreen credits.

HEADSHOT
A current photo or headshot.

SELF-TAPE
Your self-tape should be a three- to four-page scene from film or television in the style of an audition, including your slate at the beginning. Your slate should be your full name, agent/agency (if applicable), union affiliation(s) (if applicable), and the role/source of material you will be presenting. Please choose a piece and/or character that is meaningful to you.

Self Tape Tips 1. Be off book – in other words, memorize your lines, to the best of your ability. 2. You should be the only person on camera. 3. Frame yourself from the chest up, without having too much extra head space above you. The camera should be at eye level. 4. If using a smartphone as a camera, remember to turn the phone horizontal, so that the footage is recorded in landscape mode. 5. It is best if the camera is stationary, on a tripod or solid surface, rather than being held by another person. 6. If you are shooting on your own, free versions of apps such as Slatable and Zoom can help make the process easier. 7. If you are using a reader, they should be as far from the camera as you are, so that their voice is not louder than yours in the recording. 8. Avoid background noise: turn off or do not shoot next to loud machines such as fans, air conditioners, etc, close windows to block street noise, and make sure other occupants of the space are quiet while you’re recording. 9. Soft natural lighting is best – shoot during the day if you can, but avoid harsh direct sunlight that will make you look over exposed. You may want to turn on additional lights, and you should avoid distracting shadows on your face and body. 10. Choose a plain, neutral coloured back drop, such as a blank wall or solid sheet. Do not shoot in front of a bright window, as you will show up in silhouette.

YOUR ADVOCATES
Please provide us with contact information for up to two (2) people who are familiar with you, your work, your process, and/or your creative aspirations. We may reach out to your advocate(s) to arrange a phone or video call.
