Proposal Coaching is an opportunity for applicants to talk through their application with a designated Proposal Coach. Alternate ROOTS offers this service free of charge to all members who are applying for one of our programs.
Proposal Coaches are hired, consultants. They are leaders in the field who are affiliated with ROOTS and can help you gain insight into how to maximize your proposal’s relevance to the program goals and objectives. Proposal Coaches are not a part of the selection panel, and cannot advise if your project will be selected.
You can consult with a Proposal Coach at any stage of your proposal writing process. Submitting a draft proposal or outline is not required to submit a request. Once paired with a coach, providing a draft proposal or outline is highly encouraged to maximize your time together, especially for new or previously unfunded applicants.
For Spring 2024 Professional Development, Proposal Coaching can be requested until 5 pm ET on Friday, April 19th. To schedule one, please submit a request using this form.
