NextGen Fellowship 2024: Mentor Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in serving as a mentor to a 2024 NextGen Fellow!

Please read through ALL of the information below to help inform your application. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through April 30, 2024 and notified by May 15. In 2024, we will select up to 16 mentors to work with our fellows throughout the summer

Professional Mentorship & Networking

The mentorship portion of the Fellowship will begin in May and run through August, and requires the following commitments for the best outcome for both the mentor/mentee:
  • Virtual meetings with mentees (45-60 min) a minimum of 3 times from May-August.
  • Be available for ongoing support, career goal questions, and networking/connections.
  • Complete an evaluation form at the end of the mentorship in August 2024.
  • Ideally mentors are attending either the ADA Sci Sessions or ADCES Conference.
Mentors will be matched with fellows based on the fellows' expressed interests. Therefore, not everyone who applies to be a mentor will be a perfect match with a fellow, and may not be selected. We appreciate you volunteering to step forward, and partnering with us to ensure the best mentor-mentee matches possible. Preference may be given to mentors who indicate that they will be attending the same in-person conference as their mentee.

Thank you to CBDCE and DLC for their sponsorship of the NextGen Fellowship.
