Competition Journey
Your journey through this competition will include three key stages:
  1. Signup and Initial Screening: Your application (this form) will be reviewed for its adherence to the competition’s rules and guidelines.
  2. Pitch Submission: Once approved you will receive another form to upload your Pitch Submission.  This has to be completed by April 30th.
  3. Sponsor Voting: Our esteemed sponsors, as industry experts, will review the screened submissions and vote to select the top three finalists.
  4. Live Pitch: If you're among the top three, you'll have the opportunity to present your pitch live during our conference to a panel of judges selected from our sponsors.
Pitch Submission Guidelines
  • Video Pitch: Limited to 3 minutes.  Should highlight the app’s unique value proposition, target market, and innovative use of Salesforce technologies.
  • Documentation: Provide a brief document (1-2 pages) that includes a business plan overview, target audience, competitive analysis, and potential impact on the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Technical Requirements: Videos should be in MP4 format, with clear audio and video quality. Submissions must include the participant's name, contact information, and a brief description of the app concept.

  • Announcement and Call for Submissions: March 15th, 2024
  • Submission Deadline: April 30th, 2024
  • Sponsor Voting Period: May 1st - May 15th, 2024
  • Finalists Announcement: May 19th, 2024
  • Pre-Competition Workshops: May - June 2024

Eligibility
Participant Criteria:
  • Open to individual developers, startups, and teams. 
  • The max team size is 4.
  • Participants must be at least 18 years old.
Ethical Standards:
  • Projects must adhere to ethical standards, ensuring no content is discriminatory, violates privacy rights, or is otherwise harmful or illegal.
  • Participants must commit to a code of conduct that promotes respect, inclusivity, and professionalism throughout the competition.
Registration and Compliance:
  • Participants must register for the competition through the official channel, providing accurate and complete information as requested.
  • Participants must comply with all competition rules, guidelines, and decisions of the judging panel.

Availability:
Finalists must be available to present their pitch live at the Dreamin' In Color conference if selected.
Conference registration is required.

Intellectual Property:
  • Participants will retain intellectual property rights to their submissions but must grant the competition organizers the right to use project descriptions, images, video content, and team information for promotional purposes.
  • Participants must ensure their submissions do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.

Project Requirements:
  • Submissions must be original work developed by the participants.
  • The app or technology must utilize at least one Salesforce technology (Salesforce Platform, Tableau, Mulesoft, or AI technologies) and be designed with the potential to be deployed on the Salesforce AppExchange.
  • Projects that have received commercial funding or have been previously awarded in any other major competition may be ineligible, depending on the level of development (to encourage new and early-stage ideas).

Competition Specifics:
  • Submissions must demonstrate innovation, impact, and feasibility within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Participants agree to complete all required submission materials by the deadlines provided, including the initial proposal, video pitch, and any subsequent documentation.
