Under the Exceptions Order to Rehabilitation of
Offenders Act 1974, employers are entitled to ask applicants to disclose any
criminal records they may have when they are applying for jobs involving work
with children and young people. Given
the nature of our work with schools, young people and vulnerable adults, we
request all candidates complete a Self-Disclosure Form and if they are not able
to provide an up to date original copy of a DBS check, they will be asked to
complete a DBS as part of the application.
