Our halls touring program, Connecting Places, is currently running Expressions of Interest for artists interested in touring to this network in 2025.


If you have a work that will fit into community halls, libraries and other unusual performance  spaces in regional areas with limited technical provision, we want to hear from you! 

 

Please refer to the submission guidelines for eligibility requirements and program information before completing your application.

FEES & ROYALTIES


The Connecting Places program does not generally offer remount fees as touring shows and workshops are expected to be ready to go.  Please DO NOT include vehicle hire, petrol, accommodation, meals and incidentals allowances in your fees as these costs are covered by Regional Arts Victoria when you are on the road. All amounts should be entered as excluding GST.



PLEASE NOTE The following information will be requested if your EOI is shortlisted for our program. You will have two weeks to submit the below information from the date of notification. Please ensure you can prepare this information within that timeframe if successful.

The following Marketing Information will be required:
  1. Tagline (up to 15 words)
  2. Short show synopsis (150-200 words)
  3. Long show synopsis (300-500 words)
  4. Key themes
  5. Suggested age range
  6. Warnings
  7. Target audience
  8. Reviewer and audience quotes
  9. Marketing link to a shared drive with the following documents/images: Hero image, Other images, Video/s, Logo/s
The following Technical Information will be required:
  1. Bump in (hours)
  2. Performance (hours/mins)
  3. Interval (yes/no)
  4. Bump out (hours)
  5. Venue Staffing requirements
  6. Theatre formats
  7. Staging and Seating formats
  8. minimum stage dimensions (metres)
  9. Other venue requirements

Thank you for taking the time to submit your Expression of Interest for our Connecting Places Touring Program. Once EOIs have closed, a panel of RAV Staff and Community Presenters will assess the EOIs against the criteria and prepare a shortlist of 5-10 shows. If you are shortlisted we will contact you and ask to provide the further information listed. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their EOI once our selection has been finalised.
